So a friend of ours, in a roundabout way, acquired a really interesting ceramic dish.
Mmmm fresh picked melons... I mean apples...
While the face of the dish is quite interesting on many fronts, the obverse takes the cake.
Apparently the peaches are better.
Now here's where it really gets strange. Check out the inscription on the outer edge.
"To My Father : From Rob"
That's not painted on. It seems to have been etched into the dish, before it was fired. So was this made by some kid in shop class and given as a Father's Day gift? Has anyone seen one of these before?
I've found a French Bronze tray that is similar, but nothing on the one in hand.
**UPDATE**
Well after a little more searching I found it.
The piece is called "Cherry Picker Surprise" (Link is NSFW) Apparently the dude in the overalls wasn't looking for peaches in an apple orchard after all. He was in the correct orchard & was looking for a ripe cherry.

Pouring one out
For my homies.
A good friend of mine lost his dog today after a long spell of illness.
Here's to you Rosko!
Somebody, please
Smack me.
I DO NOT need to drink double espressos after 9pm.
I DO NOT need to search ebay motors, high on caffeine, looking for Classic Mini's in a 200 mile radius...
I REALLY should open the window and tell the drunk college girl next door to SHUT THE HELL UP.
I REALLY should win the PowerBall so I can buy said '74 Mini & the Ferrari 430 Challenge racecar I found... And the '68 Bullitt Mustang Convertible for The Wife, Oh yeah, and the '08 Formula Atlantic.
The Cars:
The Mini
The Ferrari
The Bullitt
The FA Swift
Cheers!!
P.S.
Yes. I know how to drive the Swift.

Remind me in a week
To tell you what I did today. Can't say yet. Don't want to get anyone in troubles, ya know.
Let's just say it:
• Has a lot of "Get-Up-And-Go"
• Is quite sporty
• Is a little tail happy if you stand on it while NOT in a straight line
• Has very cool amenities & styling
• Takes the original look and gives it a 30 year facelift
• Is Blue & Silver (you might have seen us on Hwy 17 around lunchtime)
Nah na na nah nah
:P

Ok, Don't Get Me Wrong
I like SoBe products. Really, I do. Green Tea 3G, Power, Dragon, and Adrenaline Rush are my favorites. The thing is, the new SoBe line Life water, well, it sucks.
They had a great ad during Super Bowl XLII (Thriller parody) so I thought "Why Not?"
I'll tell you why not. Have you ever had Kool-Aid that doesn't have enough sugar and only half the necessary amount of kool-aid?
That's what this tastes like. And maybe a Hint of Nyquil aftertaste. Oh! And there's no witty phrase under the bottle cap. Isn't that a SoBe staple?
I know it is vitamin ehanced. I know it only has 40 calories per serving. I know the sugar is sugar and not high fructose corn syrup. I know it has taurine & ginseng. Yes I know it is called a "water beverage".
It still tastes like ASS. I'll stick with my Cherry Kool-Aid Single serving packets.
